Australian Traction Batteries Pty Ltd (ATB) was founded in August 2000 to take over the care and maintenance of the Douglas Traction Battery which had previously been the responsibility of Cascade Australia who had decided to exit the traction battery market.

Originally performing maintenance, service and repair work associated with the Douglas brand in the South East Queensland region, this lead us into other areas associated with traction batteries, such as the maintenance of battery rooms in Distribution Centres for Action, Richlands Q, Woolworths Distribution Centres SEQ and Big W DC, Warwick Q.

Catering for the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM's) and Dealer network such as Yale Asia-Pacific, Hyster, Cown, Toyota Material Handling Pty Ltd, Adapt-A-Lift Rentals and Sales, Powerlift and Linde Material Handling, we found we were constantly sought after by the end user market to assist with their traction battery needs and expanded our business to cater for these clients as well.

We moved our workshop and offices into our current premises at Salisbury Qld in 2004 and from there have been able to quickly be on site for service work within SEQ and ship product to all corners of Australia.

Our many years of experience and understanding of the various brands and models of Deep cycle batteries, chargers and watering equipment, as well as a clear understanding of the various types of fork lifts and their applications, allows ATB to stand above our competitors.

Whilst we currently promote the Exide product, we have maintained access to other traction battery brands for occasions where our customers have specific requirements. No job is too big or too small and with our extensive range of services and products we're confident we can cater to your needs.
